A knowledgeable guide will walk you through an immersive and entertaining tasting of locally sourced honeys paired with regional cheeses and wines, all while one of Albania’s most ancient instruments, the Lahuta, plays in the background. In this cheese and honey wine class in the center of Tirana, you will learn all about the significance of these food items in Albanian culture and how they are used in different traditions, along with tales from the Albanian epic poetry cycle “Eposi i Kreshnikeve” (“The Songs of Heroes”).
Participants will be able to try their hands at playing the Lahuta, guided by an expert musician who will lead a brief workshop.
