This class begins with a knowledgeable guide explaining the history and significance of rakia in Albanian daily life, celebrations and rituals. An expert mixologist will show you how to craft your own unique cocktails and drinks, using fresh, locally-sourced ingredients and utilizing techniques that are inspired by Albanian tradition. Working on and sipping your cocktail, you will step into the fantastical world of zana (fairies) and kulshedra (serpentine, dragon-like creatures) as you learn all about Albanian folklore and legendary creatures and heroes. Each tale is connected to the cocktail, giving participants a fusion of taste and cultural narrative.
This immersive experience offers a blend of flavor, history and folklore that will leave you curious to learn (and drink!) more.
